Here's my thing, I want them to make a Star Trek movie set past the events of Deep Space Nine or Voyager, one that is completely new yet can be big enough to have major stars be cast in it, one in which since it's not specifically based on past characters allows for them to cast a diverse set of people and orientations, so that it doesn't offend anyone because these characters are original.

But at the same time since it's set in the same universe as Deep Space Nine or Voyager could include a cameo from one of the previous actors or actress's at which their current age would make sense in of storyline purposes.

Considering how advanced our technology is now, the special effects would be better than some of the Next Generations movies iterations.

I'd love to see how an original Star Trek movie would look on the big screen while not rehashing the classic versions or characters.
