Maybe it's nostalgia as the wife and I watched the original when we just started dating but we like it. Is it the best show on TV? No but it's enjoyable to watch, we like the characters etc.. it feels like an old school network sitcom which we don't really watch any longer. It's not serious, doesn't have much in the way of deep meaning etc ,.. and that's fine.
