See All12 Harsh Realities Of Rewatching Prison Break, 19 Years After It Premiered
I knew this article was a joke when it said the name Haywire could be seen as offensive. We're talking about a nickname given to a convict in prison not an affirming safe space in Portland.
Now let’s talk about why this show is so amazing: Michael's stealthy sophistication,
the unyielding devotion Michael, Lincoln, and Sarah have to one another, the gradual
but noticeable character development of Mahone and Bellick (to a degree), not
to mention the INSANE amount of plot twists where the team became so close to
victory only for them to be betrayed. Talk about resiliency and persistence.
Michael and Sarah’s love story wasn’t overtly sensual, rather their love stemmed from their brutal, shared life experiences that they wouldn’t believe to be real, if not for the two of them going through it together.
Now I’m not sure if this was the direct intention of the producers, but the show does an excellent job showcasing that not everything is as it seems. That what you see on the news, what we hear from our governments is not always correct and rarely ever is.
