According to Miriam Webster, reboot is the act of shutting down and restarting so therefore the use of the word reboot is correct. However it's overused when meaning restarting a show with a different cast, such as Magnum PI and Hawaii Five-O. In a case like this, however, I prefer restart or pick up where it was left off.
