No I don't think so. I like how it's funny and dramatic. I like the dynamic of both. Also, Now that Seth is not a rookie anymore I would love to see him on the show still in some capacity. Seth as a real villain for the show would be awesome. Him angry and disgruntled and going after Lucy for getting him fired. That would be such an exciting storyline and do his character justice in my opinion. Just my thoughts haha
