See All“It Was Terrible”: Star Trek: Picard Showrunner Explains Why Original Cast Wasn’t In Season 3
Season 3 was straight nostalgic fan service and convention cash grab. While somewhat entertaining, the predictable plots were filled with giant holes, and I was pissed off at throwing the other cast under the bus. Just another example of Trek going where everyone has gone a thousand times for a quick buck, rather than continue to go where no one has gone before. Very disappointing end for an otherwise excellent series.

If Kate Mulgrew's Star Trek: Janeway Happens, I Hope It Avoids Picard's Big Mistake
Star Trek Picard 3 was a complete let down. Marginally enjoyable, it never went anywhere beyond fan convention pandering and nostalgia. Threw the previous characters under the bus, had a predictable and largely unresolved plot (what happened to the changelings) and was generally just a rehash, going where everyone has gone before. Should have stayed with the original plan.
Picard Season 3 Was Right To Abandon A Star Trek Romance That Never Should've Happened
Totally disagree. Season 3 was a major disappointment, exactly what Stewart said he wasn’t going to do. A complete money-grabbing fan convention sellout, throwing all the other excellent characters under the bus. It was watchable, but predictable, dull and WAY too much fan service. ‘where everyone has gone a thousand times before.” Not Star Trek.
