I agree with Carpenter that Christine isn't his best work, but I disagree with the writer of this that he did the best he could with the sorce material. I've read Christine. It's not my favorite King book but it's better then the movie. They made quite a few changes that weren't necessary.

I think a closer Stephen King story to stranger Things is The Institute. It's about kids with psychic abilities being kidnapped for secret government research. It has many of the same overtones and even a Hopper like character.

This is my most anticipated movie of 2025. The story is one of King’s best. I hope they keep the unique style of the story telling in tact but even if they don’t I’ll be okay with that. My only concern is in the stills included with this story one doesn’t fit the story.
