i always thought Kirk and Janice Rand should have been a couple. I read that was originally Roddenberry’s intention. It would have been nice if this happened. Actually why hasn’t Janice Rand showed up at all in this or Kelvin Universe.

A true fairy tale ending. I wish the movies had Jaina (Jacen’s twin) in it. I liked how she embraced the Jedi side and Jacen ended up going Sith. Ben is Jacen in the movies. I also preferred how Jacen was a hero and got involved with the New Republic then went Sith bringing about a civil war.

Producers recast lead stage roles for movies all the time. Hopkins didn’t steal the role. It’s how the movie business works. Ethel Merman was the lead in musical Gypsy and movie producers cast Rosalind Russell instead.

Karl Urban was fantastic as Caesar. I thought of all people late Kevin Smith had a bright future in Hollywood. He would have been a fantastic Batman. I am shocked Hudson Leick didn’t have much of a career after Xena.

Travolta was so good in remake of Taking of Pelham 1,2,3 fantastic in Pulp Fiction but he will always be Vinnie Barbarino to me. Travolta is best in comedy playing a good hearted, not very bright guy who thinks he is a tough guy. Oh yes Grease is my favorite movie of his as well as the show Welcome Back Kotter.

I have been watching BluRay of Batman 66 and you can see a city beyond saving. A police force utterly useless. They find going to wrong locations funny and needs Batman to save them. City folks oblivious to what’s around them. So many empty warehouses makes me wonder about employment rate.

Later in saga of first Bane and the Earthquake Saga city went to hell far too quickly. A city rooted in corruption, apathy, crime and incompetence. It was always a losing battle.

Oh I loved Flash Gordon. Yes now the theme song is stuck in my head. Do not forget James Bond aka Timothy Dalton was also in it. It was really a love letter to the 40s and 50s serials.

I really liked the books until Merry Christmas, Alex Cross. He came across like a Marvel Superhero then a real detective. I did find the “serial killer” concept way overused with Patterson. There are few murderers in his books except serial killers. It seemed like Washington DC has one at every street corner. Alex’ grandmother was a fav in the books. Good cook, wise and didn’t put up with shenanigans.

What happened to Vampi? Come on. She has been in comics since last 60s going from comedy, mystery, horror and great world building. Along with distinctive clothing. She has met Aliens, partnered with Red Sonja and Dracula even met Archie Andrews. Vampirella deserves top five.
