I really hope they let Pike be a force for disability in the future. Frankly, I'm pretty tired of the cured or not alive trope that always plagues people in chairs on tv. What if being in a chair isnt the dark fate he imagines it to be (cause its not)? What if the Federation uses all its rad resources to create a life for pike where he cant physically recover, but isnt disabled by the world around him? Idk about you, but I could really use a hero in a chair.
