This is mostly true as I can't really think of any recent slasher that has cemented themselves like the OGs EXCEPT Art the clown. Terrifier is undoubtedly a horror phenomenon that has made Art a very well recognized and beloved horror icon. But that's about the only one to have made this happen recently.
