This is so wrong. R.E.M. performed "Shiny Happy People" on the year long Green World Tour, which was over 100 concerts. They also performed in on the MTV Show "Unplugged". And it's interesting how they now hate their own song. They wrote it, put it on an album, released it as the second single after "Losing My Religion" made them worldwide

stars. They even filmed a hit MTV Video for the song. And yes they performed it on SNL. In addition to all that when they appeared on Sesame Street they performed it with children's lyrics as "Shiny Furry Monsters". Sorry R.EM. but you can't rewrite history. It's all on YouTube.
