I agree with you about the AI feel. When they suggested that "millions" of Hulu viewers would rewatch the show on a streaming network after it aired live, that didn't sound like a realistic human idea. I currently don't watch it two days in a row on Hulu, so why would I watch it live just to rewatch it the next day/same week on Hulu? It would definitely impact Hulu viewership if there are subscribers who actually prefer live TV. Idk if that calculation really considered subscriber behavior.
