Even I, who actually like the movie, was on the fence about watching it because of the things the two companies had done the same year they wanted to release it. You have to pretty clueless to not understand the 2014 handbooks. I began the game from practically no knowledge of any type of ttrpg system aside from one 30min game of 3.5 and the book made perfect sense. Pick a race, pick a class, roll stats and add modifiers, pick background and your done. I've taught multiple people how to build a character and it took maybe 10mins. This is just a quick cash grab. All the stuff people are excited for are what people have already been doing through homebrew why pay $40+ for free content on the internet?
