See AllThe Real Sequel To Ridley Scott's Prometheus Took 12 Years To Happen And Was Much Better Than Alien: Covenant
Romulus was easily the worst of the three. Not to say it was bad, but it's the only one I regret buying at full price. It was less a prequel and more of a spin-off adventure.
It didn't quite capture the scale or wonder if Prometheus or Covenant. Instead it just kind of rehashed Alien. Strongly disagree with this opinion, Covenant stays on track with Prometheus in sticking to a story about the cycle of creation. Additionally, David is a much more interesting character than Shaw. I was happy to see him get more screentime.
Prometheus and Covenant were made for fans of Alien. Romulus was clearly made to pull more fans in while giving nods to its predecessors for old fans. Ash/Rook being a blatant example.
