See AllI'm Finally Watching Inuyasha After Two Decades, And Now I Understand Why It Was Such A Gamechanger
The Dragonball Effect is also in this one with the same power-scaling problems that Ranma 1/2 had - it's a neverending cycle of "Inuyasha fights someone his attacks don't hurt so he learns a new attack which defeats that enemy which then becomes his go-to (almost only) attack until suddenly the enemies are immune to that, too, so he has to learn a new attack which becomes his new "only" attack he tries until it too stops working... Iron Reaver Soul-stealer and Blades of blood never really come back once he learns Wind Scar... then that gets replaced by Backlash Wave... which gets replaced by adamant barrage... and so on, and so on.
Inuyasha does have its issues, most of which is that old anime wasn't allowed to have a story arc that ended - it was Rumiko Takahashi's meal ticket, so she was going to milk it until it got cancelled. But fortunately, when it finally did, they came back years later and did a final "end of inuyasha" season that finally tied up all the loose ends.
And the Band of Seven arc was one of my favorite arcs in all Anime.
