The Night Agent
I would hope to see Rose in season 3. I do feel that she could be trained as a Night Agent to alleviate Peter’s fear for her safety and be comfortable with her as a partner. She has come through in tough situations; as Peter tells Catherine after she says “ who knew Rose had it in her” (sneaking in to get the pics at the party)- “I did”. Catherine remarks that she is valuable, that Peter is better with her at his side. She is intelligent and quick on her feet. The audience is invested in that show for a big part because of their relationship. It seems the writers have a believable basis to include her. Considering his fan base, I’m wondering why the creator feels it may be artificial to keep her involved.

See All5 Ways The Night Agent Season 3 Can Fix Season 2's Biggest Criticisms
Using the gap between S1 and S2 as the premise for training Rose as a NA works. She is resourceful, intelligent, and quick on her feet. She has had many a ”trial by fire “ working with Peter in S1 and S2. As Catherine noted she is “valuable” and “ he (Peter) is better with you by his side). She already possesses qualities of a NA and yes, needs training on others. Peter and Rose are the core of TNA , their relationship is the main draw for most folks. It was not developed where it left off in S1, which was a disappointment. I get that the writers are tying to show a deep commitment and not a superficial physical relationship, but in episode 2 they definitely would have had a more intimate reunion after 10 months . Hoping the writers can get back the connection and vibes from S1, along with a great storyline.
The Night Agent Season 3 Can't Repeat The Same Rose & Peter Story For The Third Time
I agree that Rose needs to be in season 3 as an equal to Peter in these missions. The writers did a disservice to her character by ignoring the attitude she had developed at the end of season 1 for the choices needed as a night agent. She does need to be Peter’s moral com, (as Sami told Peter….find out who that is for you) but understand and not complain about tough choices needed to be made. They did however, set up the possibility of Catherine bringing her into the “family” and training her as she realized Rose was valuable to the mission and itted “he (Peter) is better with you at his side”. The romantic relationship needs to be developed as well. One of the reasons fans are invested in the show because of that relationship. It keeps the show unique from other typical spy thrillers. It wil be a disappointment if she isn’t in it.
The Night Agent Creator Reveals Whether Rose Will Return In Season 3 Despite Unfinished Scripts
I think the writers could definitely turn Rose into a Night Agent and partner her with Peter. They do complement each other when working together; she is competent and is discovering she is capable of success in challenging and potentially dangerous circumstances (getting pics of intel during party). She does struggle with some of the tougher decisions needed to be made at times, looking at it from a civilian’s perspective. I think she could be made to see that those decisions and their possible consequences are unavoidable when considering the mission as a whole. “Great agents understand the consequences…..bad agents don’t care about them. Your Aunt and Uncle were great agents.”
Rose’s character has proven to be resourceful, quick thinking and able to handle herself in tense situations. She already has many attributes to be successful. Their relationship is a solid basis for the show; it should be developed professionally and yes, romantically. Taking her out at this point would be a shame.
Perhaps some foreshadowing…..Sami tells Peter to decide what person is his “anchor” and Catherine tells Rose “he (Peter) is better with you by his side”…? I can only hope!
The Night Agent Star Returning For Season 3 After Fan-Favorite Character's Season 2 Absence
Very much enjoy this series. Developing the bond between Peter and Rose has to remain in focus. It is strong enough for their worlds to together with the best of their talents helping contribute to “keeping the world safe”.
