A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master
Such a 180 from the last three movies in of quality. Maybe the fact that Freddy is in this for so much of it is what kills it. At this point, he becomes a pop culture celebrity, so that leads to him being overused. The movie overrelies on him in a lazy way, and the rest of the script suffers as a result.

Time After Time
As much as I love the chemistry between Malcolm McDowell and Mary Steenburgen, it really stalls out the movie to pause this high stakes chase for Jack the Ripper to have dates at McDonalds. It makes it feel like two movies at odds with each other: a feel good fish out of water romance and a high octane thriller. Both good sides, but don't mesh well together.

Atlantis: The Lost Empire
One of the more unique Disney movies that you are ever going to come across. This came out in an era where Disney was experimenting with movies outside of their usual formula (i.e. this, Treasure Planet) and it's a shame they usually led to flops, cause I could've used a whole franchise of Atlantis.

Goodfellas
I try not to use hyperbole by saying something is the best of anything, but I am willing to die on the hill that states this is the greatest gangster movie of all time. Yes, better than The Godfather. And yes, better than The Godfather Part II.

Punch-Drunk Love
I love the symbolism this movie has to offer that resonates on repeat viewings. I love Adam Sandler's performance. I love the chaotic nature of this movie that seems to be cooled by the spirit of love. I love how Philip Seymour Hoffman can steal the show in, like, 5 minutes of screentime. I love this movie.

Romy and Michele's High School Reunion
The most feel good, utterly funny, utterly quotable movie I've ever seen. Hits just the right spot for me. I can be in the worst mood, or have the worst day, and this will instantly cheer me up. Makes me so happy to know this movie even exists. Top 5 dead or alive movie for me.

Skate Kitchen
The Jaden Smith subplot and over all last 1/3 of the movie just doesn't work for me, but before that, this is just a nice, slice of life, feel good movie that makes for a breezy watch. Utterly likable characters taking part in low stakes, slice of life fun.
