Mistake 2, the Jedi have the right to test children. Do they? Really?
Mistake 3, there's an age limit to training. Isn't it dangerous to leave untrained force sensitives around the galaxy, if found, just because of an arbitrary rule?
Mistake 4, younglings must give up their family connections. The Jedi do, but the witches don't, in fact they reinforce the communal connection.
Mistake 5, Jedi can't marry. Well, we know how that turned out.
