See AllIs Superman & Lois' Jimmy Olsen good?
Well, this is a Jimmy Olsen but not a correct one. At least he's better that the show's version of a Luthor, who is also not correct. The show has consistently shown a lack of respect for the source material, starting with Lana.
Superman & Lois Season 4 Episode 7 Recap & Ending Explained
"You're back already?" Denise apparently forgot about his super speed. And no, the twins didn't get the importance of keeping the secret. They're teenage guys and they're thinking with their gonads.
I loved Kyle's line about the singing trout. So perfectly in character. But if Smallville is a small town, how does Kyle work at Firehall 8? I'm from a small town, which Smallville is supposed to be, and it was a big deal when we got station #2. How many Firehalls are there and just how small is Smallville?
The flashbacks with Jimmy Olsen showed how much Clark has had to sacrifice over the years. Speaking of whom, they miscast Luthor and now Jimmy. True to form. There are literally decades of comics lore and it all gets ignored.
I didn't see the big decision coming. I expected Clark to somehow get the secret back under wraps. Instead, clumsy writing reared its ugly head yet again. Clark's unmasking (unglassesing?) should've seemed inevitable but it didn't. I can think of at least a couple of ways he could've fooled Pergande--or kept him from firing--and kept his identity safe. Good writing means the characters take on lives of their own and the writer respects that. But the writers wanted his secret to be revealed and they forced things in that direction. And BTW, there's no way in the real world that folks would act halfway normal around him and Denise definitely wouldn't just call him "Mr. Kent." Their lives would essentially be over but since the show is ending and we never have to find out the repercussions, it doesn't matter.
Superman & Lois Season 4 Episode 6 Recap & Ending Explained
Wouldn't work because Jordan and Jonathan are both half kryptonian. It might be a better "fit" than Sam Lane's souped up heart but it wouldn't be the same as his original one.
Superman & Lois Season 4 Episode 6 Recap & Ending Explained
The show has always been plagued by enormous plot holes. The first episode had Clark hearing a tsunami in Japan in real time, which is physically impossible.
I mentioned one from this episode in a post that has mysteriously disappeared: If Clark needs to wait until the Sun comes up, how does he have powers at night? In the comics, his body is a solar battery and when he loses his powers under red sunlight it happens over a period of time. It's not like flipping a switch.
Then there's the nonsense of Lana smelling gas when all the burners were lit. You smell gas when the gas is on but the burners are out.

Superman & Lois Season 4 Episode 5 Recap & Ending Explained
Okay, this episode actually didn't suck for a change. It was all about family, which is kinda the basis of the show. We get a glimpse into Luthor's backstory. The fact that Elizabeth is missing from his life is obviously his own fault but of course he can't see it. Elizabeth completely realizes who he is when he refuses to choose her (family) over vengeance. It's the opposite of what Clark or Lois would do, putting family first, and it's the reason Lois was able to reach the inner Clark in Doomsday. In fact, I'm going to make a prediction that Doomsday will be instrumental in finally taking down Luthor. But this is still an awful version of Luthor.
What makes Clark a hero is his faith in everyone's inherent goodness. Unfortunately, it's also his greatest potential weakness, not kryptonite but naivety. But it's also the reason he tried to help Luthor and Elizabeth reconcile.
Clark wearing his glasses in the Fortress was a nice touch, an example of how Clark is who he thinks of himself as and Superman is the disguise. At heart, he's a decent, regular guy who just happens to have powers.
Wow. I did not expect Jordan to tell Candice. Telling someone you're marrying is one thing but a high school crush? Bad idea. Neither of the twins can afford to trust just anyone with their secret. They can't be completely honest, and it's something they're going to have to deal with all their lives.
Then again, how many people have already figured out who Clark is? First Lex and whoever he's told, then the local guy, Chuck, who lost his wife last year and recognized Lois' grief, and now Denise, who apparently is just perceptive. It remains to be seen if she'll show up again, but how hard can it be to figure out their secret if all you need to do is pay attention to the Kent family? Beyond those, John Henry and Natasha know. Will the series end with the whole world knowing?
