The decision to bring Lois along in the middle of the series, rather than introducing her closer to the end, was destined to make the Clark/Lana relationship complicated. I don't think the writers were particularly fair to Lana, and Kreuk did her best with the material. The Lex/Lana marriage always felt out of kilter, but Red K Clark showing up to the rehearsal dinner was one of the best scenes in the entire series. The Kryptonite fueled separation between Clark and Lana was an awkward deus ex machina, and completely forgetting Lana's existence after she left was unfair.

OK, yeah, that was just terrible acting. For Marion to make an ission like that, she must be mortified by the scene. What makes it worse is that it's not representative of her overall performance in the film, or her incredible career
