Respectfully you have 0 taste. The hobbit films were arguably better than the OG films (better world building, more interesting characters, less predictable, greater variation in pacing), and the show has probably the most carefully crafted of all 3. Enough praise for Jackson; he created a trilogy from material already spelled out for him in full.
