I must agree that the original, 45 years ago ALIEN is the best of the entire franchise. I have not yet seen Romulus and I hope the movie lives up to the hyped good reviews.

I revisit ALIEN at every opportunity and I still get chills! The suspense still keeps me at the edge of my seat.

Some of the sequels are predictable, with lackluster acting and over exaggerated special effects that don't deliver a satisfying movie going experience, IMO.
