Disagree with number 4; that would end up making things too complicated I think, since it means scenarios in the third game would depend on what you did in the second, meaning being able to see all the different content in the third game might require replaying the second too.

Doesn’t more fragmentation mean more subscriptions? All the companies starting their own streaming services to compete with Netflix is how we got to the point of having to have tons of subscriptions. And exclusivity does probably lead to higher revenue in many instances.
kind of seems like if there was more of a monopoly of just one or two streaming services it would be better overall because we could get almost everything from just a few subscriptions, instead of half a dozen
