I think the goal in many such cases is for the "foreigner" to obtain "the American dream." But I don't think Michael out and out scammed Angela. Anyone can see by what has actually been filmed that Angela has a problem and is very abusive. I've heard of many African men who latch on to American women for the benefit of being here and helping their families at home. Both Angela and Michael have probably done some dirty crap but Angela is a control freak and has anger issues no one should be forced to deal with.
