I'm holding my opinion until I see it but based on the trailer it doesn't look anything like Star Trek, if it wasn't for the title you wouldn't know, even pointed ears doesn't give it away that's been done in other sci-fi's.

Again I hope it's good but I still don't understand why they set it in the 32nd century, it's a spin off of a show that clearly did not work and they brought over its worse character Tilly. I watched the show because I love Star Trek and I really wanted to like it but I never did for so many reasons and for me the only good thing that came out of the show was strange New worlds which is the show that they should have done 20 years ago, I'm not putting down anyone who enjoyed it but for most of us lifelong fans we would have been much more happy with Star Trek legacy instead.

I hope that Star Trek academy is good but the truth is I don't care about the 32nd century I only want to see the 23rd and the 24th I love strange new worlds and I want to see legacy with Enterprise G and 7 of 9

I don't care about section 31 it doesn't look at all like Star Trek at all. I would like to see more tv movies though, it would be great to see what worf did with Enterprise E and I've also always wanted to see a show about Gary 7 I also hate all this talk about fan service what the hell is wrong with giving the fans what they want!
