Valid criticisms tbh. The old formula they used for past expansions worked for the past expansions, but I feel like even post EW should have been structured different to better prepare us for DT. But, DT also needed more time in the oven, imo. The pacing was odd, didn't really pick up until about halfway through, and the character balance wasn't great. I had forgotten that they promised those things tbh, but you're right. They didn't deliver. DT was lackluster and unlike with EW, I had zero interest in doing the extra stuff once I was done. EW made me excited for more, but there was a massive content drought. DT just...idk. I was already burned out, and DT didn't help with that. I'll resub for the next expansion, but if it's as lackluster as this one...I may be done with ffxiv.
