I don't think this is correct. Dan Garret beetle was a Golden Age police detective. When Ted Kord beetle was created for Charlton his origin was retro fitted to be a friend or Garret who inherited the mystic beetle. I was a big fan of beetle in the 1990s, but I don't Garret returning since. I has been a while though...
