The changes made sense. It was a great movie overall. Just watch it as it's own thing instead of comparing.

Skeleton Crew is aimed at kids, so you're probably not the target audience.

Now is probably the best time to start a live action version. Gerard Butler is about the right age to play Stoick, and having him return to the role just works.
