Superb casting and an intriguing story set this series up beautifully. The acting is what makes it really stand out.

Love the Searchers and the Duke. Didn't agree with his politics, but recognize that he was an iconic actor. The Searchers and Rio Bravo prove that.
If You Love Agatha Christie, You Need To Watch These 10 Detective TV Shows
Brokenwood Mysteries from New Zealand should be on this list. It is chock full of Christie-like characters but also brings some quirky souls in that you've seen no where else (Frankie "Frodo" Oades comes to mind immediately). If you haven't seen it yet you're in for a treat! Agree completely with Jonathan Creek and Miss Fisher Mysteries being on the list, and I'll check out both Magpie Murders and Ludwig as they sound good. Thanks for the tips!

Mayim Bialik Counters Sheldon Actor’s Comments On A Potential The Big Bang Theory Reboot: “With All Due Respect To Jim"
Loved Amy, sick of Sheldon. Perhaps he could go work in for some years? If Parsons deigns to do a voiceover now and then that shouldn't tax him too much.

P.S. Amy: yes! Sheldon: no!

I'd be thrilled to see a reboot sans Sheldon, since, by the finale I was thoroughly sick of his obnoxious selfishness, Nobel speech aside. The other characters were wonderful to watch, and I'd particularly like to see Leonard succeed (despite Sheldon's and his mother's disparagement) and Raj find a compatible love (NOT Lucy, who gave me the willies). Would also be fascinating to watch Penny and Leonard's child grow up, and ANYTHING with Simon Helburger would be welcome.
