Binge-Watching Is No Longer The Future Of Streaming
No thanks, I'll stick with binge-watching. I churn around all the platforms so since I'm not going to stay for more than 1-2 months, it makes no sense to start something that won't have all the episodes up by the time I leave.
The Electric State Review: I Think The Russos’ New Netflix Blockbuster Might Actually Be Harmful To Movies
At this point, it would be news if Netflix made anything good. One day I expect to to Netflix and not see thumbnails of finished content but options I can click so Netflix can assemble my customized show or movie. At least then, their brainless trash will be calibrated to my specific tastes.
Star Trek Reboot Movie Is A Pre-Enterprise Origin Story, New Report Reveals Script & Filming Status
I nominate Dev Patel. He's got the acting chops to play a megalomaniac who changes the whole world. But that really should get a series, not just a movie.
Star Trek Reboot Movie Is A Pre-Enterprise Origin Story, New Report Reveals Script & Filming Status
This stuff usually turns out poorly, whether Star Trek or Star Wars. SNW is an exception.
The Star Wars fans are very sour on this Kinberg guy doing a trilogy for them. Not sure why we should be doing backflips. Probably another soulless hack.

Star Wars: Midi-Chlorians, Symbionts, & M-Counts Explained
Question: What's a midi-chlordan?
Answer: We do not discuss that. (Where's Worf when you need him anyway?)
Disney Reveals One Star Wars TV Show Had A Bigger Budget Than The Movies (& It's Not The Acolyte)
At least Andor looked expensive. And had good acting and writing.
It's so easy to fix Star Wars. Take the approach to writing, acting, directing and production from Andor and apply it to shows about the Jedi & Sith & Force & all that.
Start by applying it to Ahsoka S2, which could use an upgrade in looks and writing.
After The Acolyte's Cancelation, I'm Seriously Worried About Star Wars' Most Exciting Movie
Somebody should write an article on what Disney needs to do to stop spewing out substandard Star Wars content, and maybe find out what they ARE doing? At this point, if they're not all completely brain dead, they must know something is wrong. It's abnormal for any corporation to produce so many substandard products and not make any attempts to improve the situation.
People generally get fired and new people put in place when the situation goes on for years and years. The Acolyte was nothing new. It may have been bad even by Star Wars' debased standards but was it really worse than Boba Fett or those completely awful sequel movies?
After The Acolyte's Cancelation, I'm Seriously Worried About Star Wars' Most Exciting Movie
Sure, as long as the writers the Sith are driven by hate, selfishness and fear, and will never be good boyfriend/girlfriend material, which is why Darth Bortles lost his Sith-ness when Osha was shoehorned into his story. I could tell where they were going with that. Twilight city. No no no!
Same with Kylo and Rey. Not even sure if that was a romance or a sibling sort of relationship or what. First, Disney needs to get a handle on writing Sith as complex characters. Then they can move on to even harder challenges like writing a "romance" with a Sith character, which if they stay true to the character, will be creepy and toxic and not something that anyone sane can root for.
After The Acolyte's Cancelation, I'm Seriously Worried About Star Wars' Most Exciting Movie
One! More! Time!
The Acolyte was cancelled because the ratings fell off a cliff because the writing was terrrrrrible. Even by Star Wars' low standards.
Will Manigold's movie be terrible too? Let's see: He directed the recent bad (but not abysmal) Indiana Jones movie. But he also directed Logan and that was good.
However Beau Willimon (from Andor) is co-writing the script with Manigold and he's got a good resume. So I'm hopeful this won't be another of Disney's many Star Wars disasters.
The Acolyte Season 2 Is Star Wars' Best Chance To Make This Iconic Legends Story Canon
No thanks. Headland showed that she can't write or run a Star Wars show. The only thing good about The Acolyte was the fight choreography.
