See AllDungeons & Dragons Has To Solve Its Controversial Drow Problem Before A Legend Of Drizzt TV Show Can Be Made
Please please do not let hasbro touch Drizzt or ruin the D&D franchise more. I’ve been playing since 2004. This nonsense was never an issue then nor is it now.
I'm Convinced The D&D 2024 Player's Handbook Has Taken Rulings Over Rules Too Far
Very good article. While I personally y prefer PF1E over PF2E, there’s no doubt that a keyword approach is better for a game. 5E has turned interpreting the rules into an art where players constantly push the boundaries of what should mechanically be allowed. Very often DMs allow ridiculous or outright non rules as written actions in the “rule of cool.” This undercuts the game as a whole and is why after a few campaigns of 5e it quickly becomes stale.
Going back to older or more advanced rulesets it’s very obvious which players began with 5e. They are constantly parsing language or not understanding the difference between flavor text and mechanical language. It really makes me miss the 3.5 / PF1E era where people understood the rules.
