The Dark Tower
I have 3 major issues with this movie as a die hard King fan. The Dark Tower is 7 books and over 15,000 pages of text. They tried to cram it in a 90 min movie. IT which is barely 1,000 pages got a 4 hour movie. The Stand a miniseries. Now he should never have been the gunslinger as the gunslinger is white in the books. This isn’t racism it’s about staying true to the book. If a white guy was playing a black role I would have the same problem. This is King’s legacy. A brilliant work that was disrespected. For me it was jumping from one book to another and back again. He wasn’t bad as an actor. The script sucked. Die hards like myself were very much upset. This can’t be a movie unless they do a movie for every book like Harry Potter etc. or a miniseries each season depicting one book. So we can’t blame the actors here. They did as they were told by their bosses. King wasn’t happy and who could blame him. So let’s put the blame where it belongs on production staff etc. Iris is a great actor I love his movies but he just doesn’t fit in this role. Again the gunslinger is white and Jake dies at the end of book 1. But he lived in the movie. You can’t change crucial parts of a story and this story is massive. It has major character depth, different worlds, it’s like 15,000 pages. Anyway I think the world was too touch on Iris. What about Matthew McConaughey? He was terrible as the man in black. Absolutely crappy acting. At least Iris tried his best at a crappy script. I’m very happy he’s back because he’s a great actor who has range. He was punished by the media to the point he didn’t get any work. What’s an actor to do? Anyway I hope the find a way to get this on screen but I’m fine if it doesn’t if it’s crappy. King needs to approve everything. This is the one of the biggest things he will be ed for. It took him like almost his whole career to write these books.

my biggest problem with this one is 15,000 pages the dark tower series Stephen King‘s Legacy this series is what most people are gonna him for and it was disrespected. They didn’t stay true to the source material. There was no character depth, the gunslinger in the books white And the movie black and that’s not racist. That’s just I wanna see the true source material and that didn’t happen here. I mean this should get a movie for each book like Harry Potter or a series where each season depicts one book Stephen King’s it isn’t even 1000 pages or it might be close to that as close to that and the stand also close to 1000 pages as well I mean one got a miniseries and one get like a 4 1/2 hour movie And they don’t even come close. You can put them together and they wouldn’t even come close to making up the dark power series and I’m a diehard King fan. I was disappointed not at the actors although Matthew McConaughey depicted the man in Black horribly, and even though a black man was playing a white person‘s role iris did his best. I’m not taking anything away. He did his best and he did you know what the script was the people who should be blamed are the producers management the actors don’t make the script. They just do what they’re told that’s their job it’s like me. I have a boss well those actors didn’t make the script. All they did was get a crappy script and they did their best with it but the movie sucked and that’s not the actor’s fault Stephen King needs to sign off on anything dark tower because that needs to be treated with respect. It took him his whole career to write those books anyways it jumped all over the place. I guess if you never seen or sorry if you never read the dark tower series, the movie might’ve been good to you, but two King fans who have I mean you’re not gonna slip that one by us you know what I mean starting with Jake, who dies at the end of the first book there’s no more Jake he’s dead, but he somehow survived in the movie
