This is a stupid retcon. It makes no sense to introduce another character between Dick and Jason. And it detracts from Jason’s story to have his predecessor be so similar. Batman would have been much more gun shy at putting Jason into the costume had someone already died. Look what happened after Jason, he wouldn’t let anyone else be Robin until Tim basically forced him into letting him. This story makes no god damn sense from any perspective. Do better DC.

This is exactly the description I didn’t know I wanted to say. The haircut is horrible. He should have been cast with normal hair as Hal Jordan. He was the perfect Hal in the animated universe.

You say the line launcher wasn’t first seen in an Arkham game and that there’s never been a live action depiction. I guess you’ve never watched Batman 89. He uses the line launcher when he first meets the joker which is the impetus for the famous scene where Jack Nicholson says, “where does he get those fabulous toys?”
