See AllHBO's Harry Potter Remake Can Fix A Misconception The Movies Created For No Good Reason
What about the misconception that James always remained the same way at 16 when we're told in the books that Lily only dated him once he deflated his head and stopped hexing people for fun (His fights with Snape in 7th year was a 2 way street)? Harry accepted his dad grew out of his worst behaviors. Or the misconception that James had no good qualities which the movies never show or telll because they even gave "being there for Remus" to Lily? I feel it's more important to show James's character growth and his good points than his Quidditch position (especially if his Quidditch position is supposed to further zero in on his faults without acknowleding his improvements or virtues).
