They're sizing up for Big Civil War, probably under the Secret Wars name. The Secret Wars series never really went anywhere despite being some of the best comics out there.

There's gonna be conflict between the new and old groups, then the X-Men will show up and remind everyone they're all friends, there are like 6 or 7 potential rivalries from that even if we exclude Deadpool, Cable and Wolverine

Sitting here staring at 4 different, very rare editions of the originals sitting on my shelf next to countless Legends novels and comic books while I read your bullsh*t, can't wait for the Rey movie and let's be honest, the franchise is gonna be fine without you.

Almost all movies "push a message", stories tend to have morals. One moral of Star Wars is that nothing is ever black and white, but the deeper you go into the grey (no pun intended) the further detached you become, leading many characters to hold extreme and polarising beliefs.

Another is that the little guy should never be underestimated, no matter their background or identity, everybody is capable of mighty things when they balance their mind and reach out with their emotions, good or bad.

On one hand, Secret War is my favourite story arc from the comics and I'd love to see it get a proper screen treatment. The Russo Brothers have the best track record directing Marvel movies and know what makes a good, heartfelt movie that both kids and adults are amazed by.

On the other, the story of Secret War is extremely nuanced and complex, and if people were complaining about needing to watch 12 movies to fully understand Endgame, then Secret War is a whole other level. Finding comic run bundle books is getting harder, and some are almost certain to contain very important information that will almost certainly not be included in the movie, either for time or canon purposes.

The other danger is just getting a re-tread of Civil War or Infinity War where the moral is "don't meet your heroes, maybe the good guys were really the bad guys all along" and it's kind of deflated and 2 dimensional.

For anyone still wondering what Secret War is - it's like Civil War but with a massive, multiverse spanning Avenger cull. If we're lucky, the finale will be a trilogy (cause it kind of needs to be) with Deadpool and Cable explaining the bits they couldn't go over. THAT'S how big Secret War is.

Newsflash: George Lucas commissioned the first novels and expanded works for Star Wars, they did in fact used to talk about the Force as a sentient being with two "faces" back in EU days, it's not just a Disney thing.

Now, if your mind is so small that you only want to think about "light side good, dark side bad" then that's fine, but please don't try to suggest that you yourself know better than "the guy who made the thing", to quote one absolute brain surgeon in these comments.

One cannot exist without the other, there is no shadow without a light to cast that shadow and no perception of light if there's nothing to brighten. That doesn't sound like good and evil to me, the good and evil part comes when people wield this power and feed it their emotion - the Jedi don't wish to feed it any emotion to try and maintain the natural balance. It's like the Warp in Warhammer.

Who exactly are the Death Angels? I've got the Lion sitting on my shelf painted up in *Dark* Angels colours, but in my near 20 years of playing 40k, I've never heard of Death Angels (Angels of Death maybe? But that's all space marines)

Chaos are more accurately described using sentiments, rather than feelings. 2 Chaos entities, Malice and the Emperor, have the domains of destruction and loyalty, respectively. You can't really feel destruction and the Emperor only works by embodying loyalty entirely.

This is something subtly alluded to by The Lion during Angels of Caliban when he mentions "Loyalty is its own reward" in contrast to Luther, who falls to Chaos as he feels he's being mistreated for his loyalty.

Finally, the Imperium are actually the good guys, it works like a bell curve:

- New fans say the Imperium is good cause they're the human heroes who save the day

- Mid level fans say they're bad cause they do bad things

- Experienced fans say they're good cause there's literally no other shelter from terror for humanity (if you're about to say T'au, you haven't read enough) aside from becoming terrible
