See AllStar Trek: Voyager Finally Gets The Movie Fans Always Wanted
I am a Star Trek fan to the core of my being. One which Paramount should treasure as I have watched every movie in the Theater, watch every Star Trek show ever produced a countless number of times. Paid for streaming services simply to watch those movie and shows for years and purchased every single movie in all four formats (VHS, DVD, BLURAY, & 4K) through the years and own ALL available Star Trek shows on Bluray (with the exception of Strange New Worlds because I have the first two season of that on 4k). But I have now reached my breaking point. I have ended all Star Trek related streaming services and will not purchase anymore shows or movies until PARAMOUNT DOES THE RIGHT THING! Voyager and Deep Space Nine deserve to be released on Bluray and or HD digital, and treating those precious award winning hours of television with indifference is a crime. I am not the only one who feels this way. I have a group of twelve friends that I consider my inner cycle that is almost closer than family. We game together, review products together, BBQ together with our families together, and group watch Star Trek episodes/movies together. All but one of us (because Ken has no taste) are steadfast in our belief that Voyager and Deep Space Nine should be on Bluray and HD Digital.
58 Years Later, Anson Mount Fixed Star Trek’s Original Captain Pike Problem
Anson Mount’s pike is quickly growing into a favorite of mine and has skyrocketed into my top three. His version of Pike is heroic and charismatic like original Kirk, thoughtful like Picard, treats his crew like family as Janeway did, loyal like Archer, and has been able to maintain a stable relationship like Sisko did. Also, let’s be honest, the hair, it’s spectacular, LOL! There are so many captains from so many shows now to choose from. However they all seemed to have their issues. Burnham was all about herself, Archer was an emotional mess, and Picard was too aloof and unnecessarily cold. Sisko had the weight of the galaxy on his shoulders and by the end it killed his kind, baseball loving heart. Janeway was focused on her redemption many times to the detriment of herself and her crew. Finally, original Kirk’s, love of his ship prevented him from a lasting relationship with any wonderful woman. Mount’s, Pike seems to have all the great qualities of the greatest captains without any of their flaws. Also, I am greatly impressed with Paul Wesley’s version of Kirk that highlights his astounding intelligence, in addition to all that the original Kirk had!
