If he’s going to come back, I would want Reid to actually have a significant part of— which this doesn’t sound like. Although I like his character I haven’t been panting for him to come back. They have too many characters to focus on now as it is. Or maybe I should say they’re focusing on the wrong things. Like the extended sex scene in episode 2, Garcia sitting next to Voight so she can find his soul, new agent worrying about his assignment, etc. Nothing against the actor but Voight’s character has way overstayed his welcome. With all the hidden plot drama atc this show is turning into the X Files

They tried that with the girls and network didn’t like it. Course they don’t have to stay with CW. But. What makes Supernatural work is the two leads and, although I personally would love a show about the wayward sisters and Sam’s son (and they could bring Ben back (with his memory) and realize Lisa was lying and he was Dean’s kid all along). But they’ve tried three different pilots/shows : that one in Chicago that was boring as paint, Wayward sisters and Winchester’s. None of them seemed to work for whoever it is makes these decisions.

I like Rob but if I never have to see the character of Chuck/“God” again it will be too soon. When he change from prophet to “god”, Supernatural started jumping the shark. That was one fan theory the writer’s should have ignored.

Agree! I don’t see why people keep complaining about it. If Dean had died protecting Sam, Sam would have been eaten up with guilt and been trying to bring Dean back and never would have left the hunting life for the ordinary life he wanted. If Dean hadn’t died Sam wouldnt have left him. With the big evil gone Dean’s “job was done” and he could have his peace. Just like the lyrics to the song go Carry On My Wayward Son.

I can’t what season it was mentioned but in the original Supernatural that all close friends and family had died mysteriously so John had nobody to turn to; it was implied the YED had done that so there would be no hindrance to his getting Sam. Of course then in Season 6 they brought in the Campbell’s although they were distant cousins.

The producers didn’t make that decision. The network made that decision. The longer a show is on the air the more it costs to produce. This was simply a money choice and hopefully one CBS will regret.
