MASH is still to this day my number one favorite show of all time. I can watch all 11 seasons and then turn around and start it back over. The dynamic between characters and plots that ranged from lighthearted fluff to reminding us that war is not funny, beautiful or romantic blend beautifully to create a setting where everything around these people is absolute death and destruction, but as humans we use different methods to cope and get through our days. Some days "we" (the cast) forget by drinking. Some days we forget by 'fooling around' to occupy our minds, find comfort and pleasure, and sometimes we just goof off and pull pranks to get a laugh in our bleak lives. It's a very emotionally relatable series that can make us feel these scenes rather than just watch them. This show was actually long before my time, but I started watching it at a very young age with my mother and fell in love right away. Now I have shared it with my husband and he went from not being interested at all to putting it on of his own accord because he genuinely enjoys the hijinx and great story telling. This episode was a shocking punch that no one expected, but in the end made the most sense. The impact of it and the final episodes will live with me forever. Thank you to the cast, crew, writers and staff who made this masterpiece come to life.

I think people are missing the basic point of this article. It's not "Most Shocking/Disturbing Anime". It's "Most Deceiving" that the author was going for. I do agree with the majority here that School Days IS one of those, but I don't feel it has an actual place on this list. Probably just outside of it. Two that I feel are more closely related to the subject matter are Kanon and Air. Both are absolutely adorable and beautiful, but will also tear out your heart and make you cry from beginning to end. I know there are a ton more, but I can't currently recall any more.
