See AllNetflix's $320 Million Gamble Now Being Watched Less In U.S. Than One Of 2024's Biggest Flops Only 1 Week After Release
It's not that they're just trying to bash it. It's the fact that the dialogue and plot are very generic and sounds like it was originally written by AI that was slightly tweaked by human writers, after (same case with Kraven's dialogue). The premise has also been done SO MANY times before (good robots and humans trying to find a balance to coexisting while battling the bad guys & add in a long lost family member). It's good for an afternoon family watch, nothing more. It just doesn't live up to the $320 M budget it supposedly had (13th highest of ALL TIME). I think it's more about the insulting way that Netflix cancels good shows abruptly cause of "low viewership" (like KAOS) and so "it's not good for profitability", and then they put out some mediocre crap that they funded for a WHOLE $320 M! No amount of endearing actors will elevate that movie to where it's supposed to be (based on what they had to work with), and IMO that's why it kind of deserves the bad press it's getting.
I do think Kraven had it's moments and was bashed more than it needed to, just the writing esp of the dialogue was bad. That being said, just cause it's being streamed a lot, doesn't mean people are actually liking it. I stream things out of curiosity most times, but I don't just come across good movies
