See AllCommander Lawrence Is Facing The Wall: Is There Any Hope Left For Him In The Handmaid's Tale?
If you read The Testaments you will learn who lives on. However, that is not to say that the book does not mention people who got away as it was written before the final season of the show. We just have to wait and see. But Lawrence is vulnerable, so is Serena, Wharton, Rose, Naomi and Angela, Janine (and all the women forced to live as jezebels). I also think Bell, Calvin, and Reynolds might be taken out in a huge purge.
The Handmaid's Tale Season 6 Reveals A Big June & Nick Parallel That Sets Up Their Next Reunion
Atwood's novel The Testaments is very clear. The ending says that Hannah and Nichole reunite with "their two fathers." So, at some point, Nick redeems himself. Maybe Rose dies?
The Handmaid's Tale Season 6 Review: Hulu Drama's Final Season Fails To Fix Past Problems & The Testaments' Existence Doesn't Help
Hi All;
I have not seen this episode yet but I just read The Testaments. What I found interesting was the ending. It clearly says June, Hannah, Nichole, Luke, and Nick unite together at the end. The reunion takes place in Canada (at least I think so). Unless Atwood gives permission to change that ending (and why would she do that after millions of people have read the novel) which I very much doubt, then at some point everyone forgives each other and agrees to have a semblance of a mixed family. So, either Nick redeems himself in this series or the next.
One thing occurs to me though. Nick is married to Wharton's daughter. If he had allowed that bombing to take place Wharton might just have put him on the wall for his betrayal. I wonder if he believes June is lost to him but he can still have a life with Rose? All speculation of course.
