See AllThe Fog Review: John Carpenter Bit Off A Bit More Than He Could Chew But I Still Enjoy This Chilling Yet Overstuffed Ghost Story
"The Fog" is my favorite John Carpenter movie. I know that is not a popular opinion, and I appreciate that the film has its faults, but "The Fog" is one of the best overall ghost stories in the world of film. The soundtrack - whether it is John Carpenter's eerie music or the classic jazz played by KAB - just makes the film that much better, and the cast is second to none. As a kid I used to have a big crush on Nancy Loomis, so I am sure that plays into my fond memories of this movie as well. Regardless, it is a great film.
