Have you gone back and watched what they tried to do in the prequel. It's actually a good series that ended too soon. I that time. Paramount screwed up with the opening song. (If I it was a pop song they don't play on reruns now). They screwed up with the day it was on and the time it was on. They didn't promote it. His chief engineer and t'pol were some of the better interesting characters ever on star trek.

Oh..and Q should get a mention as a top 5 character too.
