See AllJoe Hill's Blue Bloods Ending Effectively Killed His Chances For A Spinoff
What is lacking in our shows lately is chemistry. Blue Blood worked because of the chemistry of the Reagan family and "all" the characters in the show. FBI works because of the chemistry of the characters. NCIS's, Elsbeth, Matlock are successful because the chemistry comes thru to the viewer. One or two main actors can not pull a show along without the chemistry as a whole. S.W.A.T. is a good example of three actors pulling the rest along. The actors don't mess well with each other, which in turn makes the plot weak, then the viewer becomes bored.
Chemistry is a hard nail to hammer, so why you dumped the show Blue Blood when their ratings were at the top, I'll never understand. If you can get Joe Hill to get a promotion to Boston, you'll be building the chemistry of Boston Blue. You can fraction the Reagon family and have two cities in Boston Blue. Showing Jamie and Erin's world in NYC as an example. While Danny is in Boston and Joe got his promotion to Boston.
It's the chemistry.
