I’m a big Michelle Yeoh fan. But I’m really disappointed in this movie. It never quite figured out what it was trying to be. . It was an OK action movie, but it was only tangentially in the ST universe. And it really wasn’t about anything compelling. I expected there would be a lot of section 31 mayhem involved and secret tribunals and such. None of which occurred. ST has to do better if they want to continue as a franchise. This was a movie made by a committee. A bunch of folks sat around the table and brainstormed about how cool it would be to have a new Star Trek movie with Michelle. Yeoh. Too bad that’s as far as it was developed. I understand that MY didn’t really want to commit herself to a series which is fine but, it’s really too bad because she would been awesome if she’d had something to work with.
