Aslan is supposed to be a representative of Jesus. It's not only disingenuous to cast a woman in this role, but it's a total betrayal of those who love the books to make these changes. Not that anybody should be surprised considering the way the streaming services have ruined things like cowboy Bebop and The wheel of Time series. I hope this tanks and I hope it tanks hard.

As a gen xer, I thought the remake of She'ra was horrible. I grew up watching the original and I loved it. I would likewise most likely not go and see the live action Masters of the universe movie. One of the issues with remaking these shows that are so beloved is that when you go away from the Canon, the fans who built a franchise hate it. Likewise I won't see the new Snow White either. If you want something different create something new.
