See AllNow That I've Played The Best Final Fantasy Games, I'm Struggling To Revisit The One That Hooked Me
I being a junior in highschool, and being upset with FF8. I didn't like the real time mechanics, the button mashing of the summons, and found the main character annoying. Looking back on it, after being a soldier, experiencing war, raising a family and being an adult, the things that bothered me seem trivial. I enjoy Triple Triad more than I would like to it, and my wife sees 8 as that one card game I play. I started with 4 (back when it was 2 in America) and didn't play six until after I had put a few hundred hours into 7(I was trying to get everyone all the master materia, don't judge 15 year old me who only had 4 games on PS1 at the time). My first experience with 6 was in the FF Anthology for PS1, and the opening cinematic had me hoping for an eventual remake of that one in a then modern FF style. I'm enjoying the 7 Remake series, though it hasn't topped the original, it still remains enjoyable to me.
13 is a a little mixed for me. I actually love Lightning, and I don't think the linear narrative structure of 13 is any worse than that of 10, it still remains the only non-MMO FF I haven't finished (though does 11 even count anymore?). That is more due to it remaining locked on the PS3, or re buying it for the PC, and I can't say I enjoyed it enough to buy multiple times.
Which, unfortunately, due to the vote of the pocket book, puts it down as my least favorite (I technically have 15 in a digital copy, as well as on disk for PS4).
Sorry, I went on a ramble there.
