None of this is accurate unless everything is adjusted for inflation. Movie theaters charge 5-10 times more than they did from when Carrie or The Shining came out. Of course this movie opened at a huge amount. But it's not real unless adjusted for inflation.
With all the characters who have left, I have trouble caring for a whole new cast when I miss the old cast i watched one episode and that was the end. For 6 seasons it was a great show.
Riverdale was so good specifically because it went so far off the rails - and it owned it. When it started to go there, I thought "huh?" but I continued watching it because the actors played their parts so well. And when I just sat back and itted to myself that the show was truly deranged, it became my biggest "must watch" of the week.
It's definitely one of the best horror movies I've ever seen. It's been two months since I saw it and I still so much more of it compared to another good movie I saw around the same time. Eggers definitely succeeded.
I guess we have totally different tastes in movies then .And that's fine
But Saving Private Ryan is based on the deaths of the Sullivan Brothers in the Pacific, I believe. There is some basis in reality for the story. Spielberg even states that as his inspiration.
And as good as a movie Saving Private Ryan is, it's not one I would want to sit through again. I found the D-Day Landing scene quite a bit graphic than I like. The only reason I could withstand the graphic violence of Schindler's List because I somehow feel a moral obligation to my dead family to get a feeling, however front, of what they might have gone through so that I could that down to my son, who felt more pull towards my mother's Judaism than my Episcopalianism.
I think most of the practical effects in The Exorcist hold up quite well. Most of them aren't meant to be scary but extremely disturbing. The crucifix scene isn't scary but it's truly horrifying. You walk away from the movie creeped out beyond belief and it stays with you for weeks. Even after the 2nd, 3rd and 4th viewing.
In my opinion is the scene of the sun setting behind the statue of Pizuzzu in Iraq. It shows that what's coming is truly awful. And then, when during the exorcism, you see Pizuzzu hovering over the bed while Regan's soul writhes in torment. Fir me, those two scenes made my blood stop for a few seconds.
Please don't do The Phantom of the Opera. They did the musical in 2004 and no one wants to see any more for at least 20 more years. Besides, Nosferatu is Phantom with a darker ending.
I saw Wolf Man. It's a decent movie. People are being too hard on it.

Wrong again. The movie is terrifying as was Bill Skarsgard. Tim Curry was good but I felt like I was watching Clue.
