No disrespect to ol' stan, but when that story of gwens death came out I was seriously angry ( along with MANY other fans). I liked the two of them together and really wasnt that big a fan of MJ at that time. It was maybe a dozen or so issues later I permanantly stopped reading the mag.

If, as stan says, they werent able to make gwen more interesting , maybe that was a failure on the writing teams part.

I have to say I got a real kick out of reading this article. I just finished watching the third season yesterday after starting the first only 2 weeks ago. I agree with just about everything that was said. It was a very compelling miniseries that did justice to the characters both old and new. After season 1 I HAD to rewatch 'nemesis' . Unfortunately, the series was only intended to run 3 seasons. Maybe we'll be lucky and someone will decide to make more at some point. ( season 2.5 would work well if it took place between s2 and s3)

I personally like the fact that the movies got progressively crazier and crazier as they went on. I recently watched the whole series in chronological order off cable and loved how the characters became a bit of parodys of themselves. If nothing else , they're not boring. Looking forward to the next and hope they abandon the 'back to roots' idea and get even more nuts. Thats kinda what was inplied by the fastx ending sequences.

I kind of feel this whole explanation is somewhat obvious. Its kind of similar to an original guardians of the galaxy character called charlie x who grew up on the heavier gravity of jupiter and had a stockier build and increased strength. As far as comic book explanations go I dont think its really critical if things are 100% scientifically correct (at least in OUR universe) but they need to be consistant within that particular company and not vary based on lazy writing.
