John Wayne had his way of doing things and Eastwood had his. Frankly I for one am glad they never worked together as I'm sure Wayne wouldn't have approved of the way Eastwood directed either. I'm sure pride was Wayne's biggest problem with Eastwood and I imagine he was just plain jealous
