Well, Molly, one day you will understand that people have a right to complain or write bad reviews if they are not satisfied with a product they paid 5K $ for. The show's defenders (incl. Ms. Trujilo) say "it's not for everyone" - but thats not true, it HAS TO BE for everyone, considering the insane amount of budget. No company can afford to spend a billion dollars (!) on a niche product for only a selected audience. This show MUST appeal to a wide audience and pull in viewers like crazy to justify its cost. The expectations were sky-high. RoP needed to be the show that everybody wants to watch and it had to be the ratings powerhouse that sures GoT and Breaking Bad. None of that came to be and to come out now after two botched seasons and sheepishly claim "it's not for everyone" is an ission of defeat.

The Tolkien fandom existed decades before Amazon or Screenrant and the fans are very ionate about that legendarium. AFAIK there is no origin story of Mordor in Tolkiens work. The volcanic eruption of RoP caused by key/sword-mechanism is entirely made up by the showrunners. In the books however the volcano seems to answer Sauron's commands. For more info check wiki.

That scene never made sense in the first place. Sauron has to convince the orcs to follow him? Seriously? He's a powerful Maia, he just makes them do his bidding, he doesnt have to run for president. He's got the energy of a tory politician campaigning in a labour district.
